Friends,
Have learnt various sides of the birthdays- one, when I see children standing outside their houses inviting everyone they see - "hey it is my birthday today" or generally letting everyone know- "Aaj mera happy birthday hai".
Another version is of youth/ teenager when they really plan it out, get lot of money from parents to spend with friends, but everyone enjoys. If you have a boyfriend or a girlfriend, this is the occassion for the first kiss or may be first .....
When you are married and have a family of your own, birthdays again become a big deal with wife or husband planning a SURPRISE party.
And then there is time after 30s when friends congratulate you and wish you on your birthday, I hear people say boss, am becoming older every birthday- it is no occassion to celebrate. Not sure if they really think this way or say it for the sake of saying.
Today being my birthday, I feel like the first side, the child's side and hence am announcing this here to you, friends. Yes, I have crossed 30 but I do want to celebrate this great occassion- seems to me like a great achievement, having lived, enjoyed, seen the days for as many years and if I survive to see the next year this day, I am sure I would want to celebrate that too with same fervour- having lived another year. I firmly believe that everyday you live here on earth is such a great 'nemat of Khuda or bhagwan or God' and you must live upto this.
So it is my happy birthday today friends and I am celebrating- gifts of wishes and any other kind and everything else is heartily and happily accepted!
